Danish Embassy And Tourists
There are plenty of different roles to play for the Danish Embassy and tourists and tourism are high on their agenda, for promoting their wonderful country to foreign travelers around the world.
Denmark is a beautiful place to visit, and as such is a popular destination for tourists. A small country with over 500 islands, you’re never short of somewhere to visit on a trip to Denmark, birth place of Hans Christian Andersen, who penned so many wonderful fantasies and fairytales. A statue of one of his most famous characters, The Little Mermaid, sits proudly in place in wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen (well, she usually does, but at the moment she’s been shipped to Beijing in China for EXPO 2010).
It’s hardly surprising, then, that people from around the world flock to Denmark to experience first hand the Danish spirit of relaxation and tranquility. The Danish Embassy can help you with information on tourism, holidays and customs in their beautiful country and due to treaties with many countries, Visas are available for travel to this great place so that you can experience the wonders of Danish culture for yourself.
Tourism between Denmark and China
There is an ADS (Approved Destination Status) agreement in place between China and Denmark, and this makes it possible for Chinese citizens to visit Denmark and other Schengen countries as a tourist. There are, however, rules and regulations for either traveling to Denmark from China as a tourist in a group or individually, in order to be able to obtain the necessary visa from the Danish Embassy. Individual travelers must:
Plan the journey as a package, including transport and hotel accommodation.
The package must be booked through an approved travel agency, in cooperation between an approved Chinese and an approved Danish travel company.
The visa will be valid only for the pre-determined itinerary, and any changes to such must be notified immediately to the Danish Embassy.
In order for a travel agency to become accredited for booking trips out of China to Denmark or other Schengen countries, they must themselves contact the Danish Embassy for full details.
The ADS agreement really has opened up the world for many citizens of China, and they are now able to visit many cultures which have been previously forbidden to them. There is a great interest in China to learn about other countries of the world and their cultures and history, and this is a great way for them to learn about the differences, and similarities around the world.
The Danish Embassy and Tourists in China
Of course, the Danish Embassy in Beijing can also be a great asset to tourists visiting China and students who are in China, who must also obtain the necessary visas prior to their visit. All embassies are, in effect, a little piece of home, where tourists who find themselves in difficulty for any reason in a foreign place, can go to find help to resolve their problems, whether it’s lost passports, money or some catastrophe which so often occur when you’re miles from home.
